SJTU-SESE Global Summer School on Sustainability

The Global Summer School on Sustainability, hosted by the School of Environmental Science and Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, has attracted 200+ students from around the world to explore global sustainability challenges and innovative solutions. Through interdisciplinary lectures, interactive workshops, field visits, and group projects, participants gain insights into topics such as climate change, carbon neutrality, circular economy, environmental governance, and sustainable urban development. The program combines academic excellence with practical learning, providing students with opportunities to engage with leading scholars, industry experts, and policymakers while experiencing China's achievements in sustainable development. By fostering cross-cultural exchange and international collaboration, the summer school equips future leaders with the knowledge, skills, and global perspective needed to contribute to a more sustainable future.

Each year, the application period is open from February to June, with successful applicants announced on a rolling basis. The two-week summer school, held annually in July, combines classroom learning with experiential activities, offering participants an immersive academic and cultural experience in China.
